The Cytology Department is pleased to offer a Full Time post of Senior Biomedical Scientist (Agenda for Change Band 7) at Villa 6, Colchester General Hospital, Colchester.
The department is part of the Pathology Partnership Cervical Cytology Network, acting as a screening site for cervical cytology, as part of the NHS Cervical Screening Programme. The Network is looking forward to the roll out of Primary HPV testing in the near future.
You will participate in a cervical cytology checking role and have line management responsibilities within the cervical cytology Network.

On 5 May 2017, this post will transfer under TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Remuneration) to the employment of Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust (CHUFT).
This post is currently employed under the Pathology Partnership which will be divided into East and West Pathology Services. This post will become part of the East Pathology Services.
CHUFT will be the Host for the East Pathology Services and therefore become the employer. Other Trusts within the East Pathology Services are Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust and West Suffolk Hospital (Bury St Edmunds).
