Applications are invited for an experienced HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist to join the dynamic, state-of-the art clinical laboratory in the role of specialist in our fully automated and integrated multidisciplinary laboratory. The laboratory service processes in excess of 7 million tests per year and is accredited with full UKAS Accreditation transforming to ISO 15189 standards for UKAS.
We are looking for an HCPC-registered scientist to work in the respective sections of the Haematology and Blood Transfusion Department using manual, semi-automated and fully automated methods, subsequent interpretation of results and entering any necessary results onto laboratory computer system. The successful candidate will also be required to cover the extended service which involves working nights and weekend shifts on a rotational basis.
The ideal candidate will be HCPC registered with IBMS specialist portfolio or can demonstrate equivalent experience in Haematology and Blood Transfusion.
