With a strong product portfolio, you will be coming in to the Roche Molecular Solutions, Systems Support team, to provide superior customer support for a wide range of products including viral load, CT/NG, HPV, oncology, qPCR & NAP.

The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a field-based Product Specialist covering South West UK, to join our Molecular Systems Product Specialist team. Extensive travel and time spent away overnight during the week is required to perform this role, including travel to Ireland when required. There will be times when you will be required to also work off-territory.

Reporting to the Team Leader specific responsibilities include:
• Providing effective on-site troubleshooting application support to customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring a speedy resolution
• Providing comprehensive on-site customer training on Roche Molecular Solutions assays and instrumentation
• Identifying customer complaints that require escalation according to company procedure to RCSC (Regional Customer Support Centre) & 2nd level support and building strong communication channels with these support team
• Providing support to the Sales and Marketing teams to maximise business opportunities and minimise technical complaints
• Accountability for support of the Roche Molecular Solutions product range, primarily focusing on qPCR/ NAP & Molecular Diagnostics product portfolio.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, colleagues and global divisions, to provide a first-class service for complex support cases by driving results.

You have a degree qualification or higher in a Life Science or related discipline and a proven track record in Molecular Biology specifically nucleic acid extraction & real-time PCR.

Experience with Roche Molecular Products and Instrumentation, including the FLOW LDT solution, cobas 4800 & cobas 6800/8800 systems is desirable.

Experience of working in the diagnostic industry or a hospital laboratory setting is also an advantage.

Self-motivated, you are full of initiative, taking ownership and pride in your work. Customer focused, you will be capable of working with minimum supervision and manage your time effectively.

You are motivated by the challenge of investigating and resolving customer issues and are adept at problem solving. You are able to work effectively under pressure, exceeding customer expectations, and instilling knowledge. Customer focused you will have excellent communication skills and ability to understand the customer needs.

You will be expected to plan your own field work schedule and extensive travel arrangements autonomously.
