Applications are invited from enthusiastic Individual with knowledge and expertise especially in Blood Transfusion and Haematology laboratory duties.
The successful candidate will be expected to work 37.5 hours a week mainly in Blood Transfusion section but will also be required to rotate in different sections and work various shift patterns between Monday to Sunday.
Barts Health NHS Trust is situated in East London and is formed by The Royal London Hospital, Barts Hospital, the London Chest Hospital, Newham University Hospital and Whipps Cross University Hospital. The Haematology department provides a comprehensive service to the hospitals and local GPs. In addition to a full range of general services, the Trust provides Haematology Oncology, Cardiac, Renal, and Maternity Services and is also a very busy Major Trauma Centre.
The department operates across four sites with laboratories based at the Royal London, St Barts, Newham and Whipps Cross sites. Successful candidate may require working on different sites.
We are a progressive and busy department with an excellent team and are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Biomedical Scientist to join our team is led by a band 7 Specialist BMS and overseen by the Chief BMS. In addition the successful candidates MUST have excellent proven IT and Interpersonal skills or have relevant degree or experience.
We are supported by an active teaching-hospital environment, with a comprehensive range of IBMS accredited CPD activities. The laboratories are fully CPA accredited and have full IBMS training status.
