A vacancy has arisen in the Microbiology Department for a highly motivated individual to join a team providing high quality Microbiology services for Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.
The Department processes a wide variety of clinical samples using both manual and automated methodology. We cover a variety of services, such as Bacteriology, Serology, Mycology and Andrology.
Microbiology and GUMedicine services are based at Royal Gwent Hospital (Newport) and Andrology is based Nevill Hall Hospital (Abergavenny) and you may be required to work at either site according to the demands of the service.
The post is a part-time permanent role, covering 22.5 hours over a 3 day working week. There is an out of hours nightshift service provided by the department. The successful candidate will be required to participate in all the relevant rotas including nightshift rota once deemed competent in all areas.
