The Blood Science Department at Pathology First is looking for an experienced biomedical scientist to join their team as Principal Biomedical Scientist ideally with some experience in Coagulation, whose role will include:
Ensure high quality analysis, agreed quality standards of service delivery and key performance indicators.
Provide professional knowledge and leadership skills to Specialist Biomedical Scientists, Trainees, BMS and pathology support staff.
Ensure that all areas of responsibility comply with all relevant current and future legislation and complies with BCSH recommendations and the requirements of UKAS 15189:2 & MHRA.
Required Skills and Experience
HCPC State Registration as a Biomedical Scientist in Haematology with an interest of developing within Coagulation.
MSc or equivalent level of qualification ( by examination) in Haematology
IBMS Higher Specialist Diploma in Haematology or equivalent
Level 3 or above Management Qualification
And desirable
IBMS Diploma of Expert Practice in Coagulation or Evidence of Extended Practice in Coagulation
EDCL or equivalent IT qualification
