Afc Band 5/ 6 - Biomedical Scientist (BMS) – 22.5 Hours per week (£22,128 -£28,746 - £26,565- £35,577) PR
We are looking for a motivated, dynamic, suitably qualified HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with at least two years experience post registration and a successfully completed IBMS Specialist Portfolio, to work in our Blood Sciences (Haematology / Blood Transfusion and Clinical Biochemistry) laboratories. Excellent candidates without a specialist portfolio will be considered for a band 5 role at 22.5 hours. Our laboratories are situated in Ashford, Canterbury and Margate in East Kent and provide a wide range of diagnostic tests. Some specialised services are provided on one or more of our sites. There will be an expectation of weighted participation in our Continuous Processing Pattern (CPP) for out of hours service provision after appropriate training and competency.

Working as one large team over 3 sites, you will be expected to support sites other than you designated base where needs of the service arise.

All locations have quick and easy access to the continent and good road and rail links with London and the South Coast

All of our laboratories are fully CPA accredited and MHRA compliant. Awaiting final approval for UKAS ISO15189 accreditation.

The successful applicant will be expected to participate in our 24/7 CPP working pattern which is fully Working Time Directive (WTD) compliant.
