Chief Scientist Blood Transfusion

Salary Range: $ 89,786-$96,809 (PN: 26295)
ACT Pathology is a department of the Canberra Hospital offering a diagnostic Pathology service to the ACT and surrounding region. Canberra and Calvary hospital laboratories operate 24 hours, 7 days/week, offering a wide range of testing procedures. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Immunohaematology department providing leadership in strategic planning and optimal operational management. As directed by the Chief Scientist, haematology, plan, allocate and coordinate the work of the blood transfusion laboratory; Assist in the preparation of financial and staffing budgets and monitor budget programs. A commitment to own personal development is essential.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: A Degree in Science or equivalent relevant qualification. A relevant post graduate or professional qualification would be an advantage.
